For my Fulbright research grant, I'll be living in Niger from mid- September 2007 - June 2008. I'll be researching gender roles in the Tuareg ethnic group, working with a women's rights NGO (called Tin Hinan), learning Tamashek (the language of the Tuaregs), and generally soaking up life in Niger to the fullest.
Thanks for checking up on me and I hope to be in touch often!
likes biking, mangoes, maps, islands, coffee shops, and desert blues music...has lived on Bainbridge Island (WA), in Claremont (CA), Cameroon, and Washington (D.C.)...
