I love this little dude Ibrahim (see previous blog posts) so much it hurts…he’s looking good here in his mini boubou and sitting with his mom Fatima and my friend Mariama.

You are entitled to grieve over your leaving such dear friends and "new homeland", Maggie.
There are so many "goodbyes"in one's lifetime!--but along the way, there are some wonderful "Hello, again(s) !!", and deep friendships to savor: you'll be back to Niger someday, if only figuratively.
Maybe you might think of the miserable times, to get you through the next few months....the Good ones are the ones that keep us all crying!
